On 18 December 2023, the Committee on Artificial Intelligence published the latest version of the Draft Framework Convention on Artificial Intelligence, Human Rights, Democracy, and the Rule of Law. The text is available HERE.
The proposed changes include new points in the Preamble, different options for the scope of the Convention, rules for transparency, privacy and personal data protection, reliability and trust, as well as risk and impact management framework. Changes concern also public consultation, the follow-up mechanism and cooperation, and effects of the Convention and dispute settlement.
